An account is free. It keeps your progress, badges and best scores safe, and it lets you pick up where you left off on any phone, tablet or computer.

Why does the website ask me to sign in after 3 plays?

On mathworkout.app you can play 3 rounds without an account. A play counts when you finish a round, for example a workout, a Galaxy Run game or a Method Lab lesson. Quitting a round does not use one, but after 6 rounds started the free plays end too. The home screen shows how many free plays are left, and Doc warns you before the last one.

After that, Math Workout asks you to Sign in to keep playing. Signing in is free, and the progress you made on this device comes with you. The free plays are counted only on your device, in your browser.

Do I need an account in the Android app?

No. The Android app never asks you to sign in. Signing in is still worth it: it backs up your progress and lets you carry it, and your Pro, to the website or another phone. Now and then the app shows a Keep your progress safe card; tap Not now if you would rather not.

What does an account keep safe?

When you are signed in, these are saved to your account and follow you to every device you sign in on:

  • your badges, workout counts, play streaks and best times
  • your Brain Age results and your World Challenge streak
  • what Math Adapt AI has learned: your memory score for each fact and your recent answers
  • your Method Lab lessons, Galaxy Run medals and bests, and your Prime Raiders best
  • some settings: your levels, questions per workout, chosen times tables, the theme and Celebrations
  • your leaderboard name

Pro is not copied by sync: it belongs to your account in its own right. See What Pro includes.

What does not follow me to other devices?

Your language, sound, music, Doc's voice, reminders and the keypad layout stay on the device you set them on. Math Run coins and items stay on the device you earned them on, for now.

How do I know my progress is saved?

Open Settings. The Account card shows a line such as Synced just now or Waiting to sync. Offline, it says your progress will sync when you are back online. If it ever says Sign in again to keep your progress in sync, sign in again: nothing on your device is lost.

How do I sign in?

Open Settings, then tap SIGN IN / CREATE ACCOUNT on the Account card. Choose Continue with Google, or use your email and a password. See Sign in with Google and Sign in with email.

Is my account safe for children to use?

We never ask for an age, a birthday or a real name, and a Google sign-in never puts your Google name on a leaderboard. Pick a nickname for the boards. More for parents and teachers: Privacy and safety.
