Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Math Workout (“we”, “us”, the “app”) collects, why, and your choices. It covers the Android app and the web version at mathworkout.app.
What we collect
- A random device ID. The app generates a random identifier stored on your device to track your scores and progress. It isn’t linked to your name or any advertising profile.
- Gameplay & progress. Scores, achievements, medals, brain-age results, settings and streaks — stored on your device, and (for online leaderboards) on our server.
- Leaderboard name. If you submit a score, the display name you choose is shown publicly on leaderboards. Pick a nickname if you prefer.
- Approximate country. Derived from your IP address at the moment you submit a score, to show a flag on the leaderboard. We don’t store your IP address against your profile.
- Optional account. If you create an account to sync across devices, we store your email address and a securely hashed password (or, for Google sign-in, your Google account identifier and email). This is entirely optional.
- Purchases. Pro upgrades are processed by Google Play or Stripe. We never see or store your card details — only whether the purchase succeeded.
- Support messages. If you contact support, we receive the email, message and device info you send us, to help you.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t serve third-party ads or use advertising SDKs.
- We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
To run the game, save your progress, show leaderboards, process Pro upgrades, sync your account across devices (if you opt in), and respond to support requests.
Service providers
We use Google Play and Stripe for payments, Google Sign-In (if you choose it), and our hosting provider (IONOS) to operate the servers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Children
Math Workout is a family-friendly educational game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the anonymous gameplay data above. Accounts and purchases are intended to be set up by an adult. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Data retention & your rights
Anonymous gameplay data persists while you use the app. You can clear local data by uninstalling the app or clearing your browser storage. To access, correct or delete account data or a leaderboard entry, email support@mathworkout.app and we’ll action it. Depending on your location you may have rights under the UK GDPR / GDPR / CCPA, including access and deletion.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and payment card data never touches our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
