Change your leaderboard name

How do I change my leaderboard name?

1. Open Settings (the gear on the home screen).
2. On the Leaderboard name card, type the name you want.
3. Tap Save name. You see "Name updated".

Your new name replaces the old one on every score you have already posted, straight away. When you are signed in, it is your name on all your devices.

When does Math Workout ask for a name?

The first time you finish a ranked World Challenge, or the first time you post a Galaxy Run or Prime Raiders score, Math Workout asks for a name for the board. Math Run uses the name you have saved.

Which names are allowed?

Letters and numbers in any language, spaces, - and _. Emoji and symbols are removed, and the app tells you: "Name adjusted for the leaderboard. Save again to use it." Names can be up to 30 characters; the Settings box takes 20.

Your name is public, so please choose a nickname rather than your full name.

Why are some letters in my name shown as stars?

Names pass a filter for rude words in many languages. A rude part is replaced with stars. If nothing usable is left, the name box is cleared so you can choose another one.

Why is my name Player followed by letters?

That is the name used when no name has been saved yet, or when a name could not be used. Set your own name in Settings.

Does Math Workout use my Google name?

No. Signing in with Google never puts your Google name on a board. Only the name you choose is shown.
